If you know us already, you’ll know that we love creating books. It’s probably a throwback to childhood; all the best treasure is buried in books. We’re always being asked to send people copies of our books, but we always run out. So we’ve decided to write a series of posts on here about some of our favourites. It’ll never be as good as sending you the real thing, but it’s the best we can do.
Here’s the first one we’ve chosen. This is a book we send out to say hello to clients we’d love to work with.
As the touchy feely name suggests, each page is tactile – the woolly beard…
The ‘sticky, grabby’ hands…
The ‘cloth’ ears…
And finally, the lovely, rubbery, feeling of touching LOVE…
Clients seem to really like receiving this book (Yorkshire Tea put us on their pitch shortlist after receiving one). Maybe it’s just a little bit different from the tons of other stuff they receive every day. Maybe it’s because it doesn’t ram the agency "sell" down their throats.

Thats quite endearing really. The key is that kids would still love it.
We’ve heard that our clients normally take the book home for their kids which is another reason for its popularity – though I doubt it’s the most gripping story they’ve heard at bed-time…
Looks fantastic, you should do a version to sell in Magma.
We have linked to you from SERIF:

That’s brilliant. Good stuff..
Hi Jim – yes, we’ve thought about selling them. Thanks for linking us on Serif by the way – we like your site very much.
A brilliant idea.
Great minds like a think, as someone once said: http://noisydecentgraphics.typepad.com/design/2005/12/thats_not_my_br.html
I LOVE this. I had a brilliant dream recently about making children’s books at Bloom.
Hey my little girl (10 Months) loves these books, “Thats Not My Puppy” is her fav. Any Chance of a FREE copy for her, Please, please, please?
Mike
I’m pretty sure she’ll still prefer That’s Not My Puppy over That’s Not My Agency, but if you send us you’re address we’ll see if there’s a spare copy hanging around.
Many Thanks Jonathan….
I have sent an email with my details to info@lovecreative.com

This is so brilliant.
Zana, the story goes that when we set up LOVE back in 2001 we didnt have any clients or even a portfolio to show because we were so worried our old agency would set the legal dogs on us. So this book was the first thing we ever made and we used it to introduce ourselves. I seem to remember that it was the only reason that the likes of Diesel, Nike and PlayStation answered our phone call so it aint new but it sure is close to our hearts.
