Fucking Phones
July 18th, 2007
Our very own Adam Rix had some of his work on display in last weekend’s Guardian Guide. This is it:
It was his fiery response to a brief set by Serif to redesign the tube ticket. Strangely, he seems rather coy about sharing his great work with the world, so I had to post it instead. Good work Ads, and nice spelling too.

It’d be worth the extra tax buden to equip public transport with devices enabling the driver to fire off electromagnetic pulses—killing all phones, iPods and other battery-powered gubbins stonedead. Obviously, its a bit harsh on those with hearing aids. But they can switch their aural capabilities on and off selectively. One unfortunate bonus of hearing loss is to never hear Akon blasted out from a tinny mobile phone.

fucking brilliant! i see this going places (bad pun). it’s easily the new cover of the tube map, packaging on sony headphones, an ironing board cover (just for something different) and the new tourist t-shirt (to go with the ‘mind the gap/fuck the gap’ essential london buy).

A little late to comment, I would wear this on a T shirt with a smile whilst traveling on the 6 or 98 through Willesden Green/Harlesden.
