We get the feeling that our dutch friend who asked permission to use Adam Rix’s anti-mobile phone music player rant (above) has been claiming the concept as his own, whilst only crediting Adam for the logo.
Our command of the dutch language isn’t great, but we think this says something along the lines of “Music from mobile phones may be annoying, but copying people’s work is fucking irritating”. Found here (a few scrolls down from a painful looking picture of a stretched arse).
What a (stretched) arsehole.
Your Dutch friend here
. I don’t really understand your post, because at no point I’ve been claiming the concept. There is a special section about the concept and logo credits at http://fuckingirritant.nl/wie-doet-dit/. The author of the site you refer to (with the stretched arse) didn’t read this section (or the footer of the site for that matter) and mistakenly assumed that I was claiming the concept. In the comments I explain that I happily give full credit to Adam Rix.
In the meanwhile the logo is really popular in the Netherlands and has appeared in many newspapers. A lot of people are responding (http://fuckingirritant.nl/2007/08/23/jouw-mening/) and I hope Adam is happy that his voice can be heard quite loudly and now here in the Netherlands too.
We had a load of Dutch students study at our uni and one of them was always accused by the others of using advertising work from Holland as her concepts for uni briefs. Weird.
the official name for a ‘stretched arse’ is a Goatse … Frank showed me.

Could Frank show me too? Please?
You’ve made a big mistake by agreeing with the use of your concept & logo. We have a lot of weird people up here in Holland
Groetjes!
