I can understand why the Talk to Frank work isn’t loved by everyone. Probably because it’s different, daring and memorable.
Mother’s latest spot is great. Like most of the best work you can’t help but watch it and think ‘I could have done that’. Which is a lie, of course.

I completely agree, although I don’t think I could have done it, it is made all the more genius by using the V/O of David Mitchell. I hate to say it, but I do love it. I was asked to do a micro site for this campaign, but it never prevailed, oh well!

Steve – I didn’t like the David Mitchell VO to start off with (he’s becoming a bit like Tom Baker last year), but he is perfect for it. And I wasn’t suggesting I actually could have done it. no no no no nooooo… more that really good ads are really quite simple. Or maybe ‘natural’ is a better word to use than simple.
