The Shame of the Game

Here’s a quick question to kick off Monday morning:

Which advert would you be most ashamed/ embarrassed/ humiliated to have on your showreel?

vs.

Agency fees are exactly the same, and you have to choose one…

  1. Postal gold is the worst with out a doubt. At least we by any car is memorable even if it is rubbish.

  2. Webuyanycar.com is a GREAT tune! my friends Shane and I regularly dance around my flat in our pants to it. The guy in the gold ad is Satan.

  3. I don’t know.
We buy any car (WBAC to its mates) seems creatively more offensive to me – it reminds me of the crazy frog. Postal Gold is a turd, but it doesn’t look like anyone’s tried to polish it, which I’m OK with. Think it’s a question of creative standards vs moral standards.

  4. I feel sure that WBAC must have been done by the people responsible for that Yellow Pages 118,24/7 number. Both equally execrable. However, you should hear Tim’s dance mix of the two, now that is classic….

  7. Saw this beauty at the weekend, and, with some bemusement, tried to imagine the account person selling it in. Maybe show Cadbury’s Gorilla to prime the client?

Have to confess to being strangely drawn to the truly odd advertising that a recession brings about. So bad it’s good…
