A right bunch of mugs

There are many things in our world (if you take a step back) that have stayed the same for donkeys simply because no-one’s bothered to update them. Like regional advertising agencies (joke) or in fact the British Education System (no joke).

One such thing is the Willow Pattern, designed by Thomas Minton in around 1790 which depicts, typically in blue and white, a series of fables taken from Chinese mythology.

So in recognition of the inexorable rise of contemporary China, we’ve updated the Willow Pattern in the form of 12 mugs designed to explore a series of very modern Far Eastern myths, rumours and urban legends.

If you’d like our 1 spare set please state in 50 words why you (and not someone else) should receive them.

Or if you might want to be our client or you’re significantly influential, we’ll send you one of our boxes allocated ‘for clients or significantly influential people’ anyway.

*AVAILABLE SOON FOR PURCHASE.

  1. I should receive them as my mugs at home are really really shit. Honestly. They are shit. I thought they were good last year, it turns out this year, they look shit. Please give, my wife won’t have people round for a brew because they’re so shit. Cheers.

  2. I should receive them because I use mugs for everything, tea, milk, juice, water etc.

Glasses are plain and dull most of the time and don’t have handles, plus I would find it amusing to use a mug with pandas having sex on it.

  4. I have recieved some and they are currently causing mayhem in the office. You may well lose clients as internal fighting leads to their demise.

    Thanks again!

  5. I’d really like a set of these mugs because Simon Griffin promised me mine were in the post, but they never arrived, and the disappointment ruined my Xmas frankly. (If ya reading Si, I know you were probably hung-over the day you sent ‘em but they never showed-up man. Gutted!)

  6. I’m a big mug fan – massive, and to be honest, facing the bottom of my Duncan (Soop) Custard Cream Mug every day is becoming tedious, a daily dose of disappointment at the ‘pretendy’ biscuit at the bottom of my cup – it’s making me sad :( please send me the mugs to cheer me.

  7. I should get them because Skeggy is a great big liar. At Si’s leaving do he kept promising to send me a gift but did anything arrive? Did it? Did it? Did it? No. And it was Christmas too.

Sorry about the “Did it?”s, I just got on a bit of a roll.
