To get into the spirit of the World Cup and to cheer on the England team (and hopefully bring them good luck), we’ve come up with our own 1966 replica shirt merchandise.
First was the winning 1966 England replica away shirt by Umbro. Nice.
Then there was the winning 1966 Sir Alf Ramsey England jacket by Umbro. Very nice, any spares going?
Now LOVE bring you the winning 1966 Russian Linesman shirt.
And this is the Russian Linesman, Tofik Bakhramov. England’s twelfth man in 1966.
And if you’re not too familiar with Tofik Bakhramov, (he was from Azerbaijan not Russia) you can read about him here. There is even a statue of him in his home town of Baku, the people of Azerbaijan think he deserves one from the English that’s no smaller than Nelsons Column, we agree. Legend has it when asked about the goal on his deathbed, he muttered the words “Stalingrad”. I think this tale orginated in Germany.
And here’s the best advertisement from the last World Cup inspired by Tofik.

My name’s Rob. I’m a Copywriter and a massive pedantic wanker, so I’ve just spotted a typo on the Russian Linesman jersey.
