WEEK: 07.12.18

Welcome to your Friday dose of WEEK - a roundup of what's dropped in the last seven days, brought to you by the Culture & Strategy team at LOVE.

Pantone Colour of the Year

Meet Living Coral, Pantone's Color of the Year for 2019. It's a colour you'll find in tech (see: Airbnb or the iPhone XR), but also 1960s Americana and the ocean.

With the year we’ve had it’s a surprisingly bright choice; vibrant, yet mellow - an unexpected dose of optimism in a year when politics and world events were somewhat dark.

Sociable and spirited, the engaging nature of Living Coral welcomes and encourages lighthearted activity. Symbolising our innate need for optimism and joyful pursuits, PANTONE 16-1546 Living Coral embodies our desire for playful expression.

His latest appointment will see Abloh aid Evian's quest to put an artistic and innovative spin on sustainable product design.

Burberry - Maybe It’s because I’m a Londoner

An old classic cockney song, Maybe It’s Because I’m A Londoner, has been reimagined - sung by Cara Delevingne for the latest Burberry ‘Her’ Fragrance launch.

Along with the song was a mysterious pop up by the London Eye, by day it looked like a steamy box filled with flowers and by night revealed a vibrant neon sign reading the iconic phrase ‘Maybe It’s because I’m a Londoner’.

Nike's #ALLFORUS US Activation

Nike's #ALLFOR1 US activation launched this week, taking a fresh approach to the iconic Nike Air Force 1’s.

A photography exhibition in LA celebrated the unsung heroes of the community, captured by @girlgaize (a platform connecting female creatives with brands).

The Dark Knight bat cave space was obviously designed with Instagram bait in mind, so the experience plays out after people leave on social media.
