Shop Baby Shop March 25th, 2009

Afflecks is an emporium of eclecticism, a totem of indie commerce in Manchester’s Northern Quarter and above all else a fantastic place to purchase anything from top hats to tattoos. And after we successfully relaunched the labyrinth of shops last year with a new logo (retailer occupancy has doubled) they asked us to update their website too.

You can find shops, photos, letting details, a blog and even become a friend by utilising the power of social mediaTM. Feel free to have a nose around – there’s no need to buy anything.

On a related note, you might think that a film written and directed by Ben Affleck and starring his brother Casey Affleck would be a sure fire loser, but having watched Gone Baby Gone a couple of months ago I can assure you it’s actually quite good. Well done them.

The Falcon Needs YOU March 5th, 2009

Yes, you.

Leanda needs someone to help her run the ever expanding digital department. She said:

“The ideal person would have 2 to 3 year’s experience.  The role of Digital Project Manager at LOVE would be to define the scope in detail and then plan the execution of our digital projects.  Throughout the project’s lifespan the Digital Project Manager will manage the production team, ensuring adherence to the project plan, delivering to quality, deadline and budget, while maintaining communication, process and documentation throughout.”

She also said:

“But dont write that on the blog. It needs to sound more friendly and appealing.”

So here is the more friendly and appealing version:

“We’re looking for a Digital Project Manager with two or three year’s experience. The ideal person would be able to juggle with at least three tennis balls, spin plates and be able to tell a minimum or four jokes, one of which should involve someone walking into a bar. A love of cute fluffy animals is also preferable, but not essential.”

Ahhhh….

Please apply to hello@lovecreative.com with “Digital Project Manager” in the subject line.

Bread of Heaven November 21st, 2008

The Fresh Digital Awards were held last night at the Hilton. We only had one piece nominated, so it was good that one won. 100% ain’t bad. The Warburtons We Love Bread website picked up the award for Freshest Digital Campaign. Well done Adam P, Mark, Jono, Stu, Emma, Darren and everyone else I’ve missed out. There’s always one.

Hats also tipped in the general direction of our neighbours on the 3rd floor of Basil Chambers, the neighbourhood who picked up the Grand Prix. See you at the bar.
